At The Cutting Room at Riverstone, we believe in creating a stronger, more inclusive community through purposeful action. Our “Lifting Locals” program reflects this commitment, empowering individuals and fostering connections that make a real difference.
Breaking Barriers with the Razorbacks
We are proud sponsors of the Riverstone Razorbacks’ first-ever all-girl football team. This trailblazing partnership is about more than sports—it’s about inspiring young girls to break stereotypes and thrive in spaces where they belong. Through teamwork, leadership, and resilience, these athletes embody confidence and determination.
Phoenix Rising Project
Through our Phoenix Rising Project, we provide free hair services and products to women from Flourish, Australia, who have fled domestic violence.
These small acts of care offer comfort and confidence, reminding these women of their strength as they rebuild their lives.
Partnering with North West Community Services
Our collaboration with North West Community Services empowers women and girls facing long-term unemployment by providing valuable work experience. We also step up during tough times, such as the floods, by offering donations and support to aid recovery efforts, strengthening our community in moments of need.
Supporting Local Schools and Sports
Every year, we provide gift vouchers to local schools and sporting clubs to support their fundraising initiatives and contribute to events that benefit students and families.
Community Claus Campaign
Through our annual Community Clause initiative, we collect presents for clients and community members, donating two additional gifts for every one received. Over the past five years, we’ve gathered an incredible 4,963 presents, spreading joy and holiday cheer to those in need.
The Cutting Room’s annual Community Claus Campaign was also featured in The North West News, recognising the salon’s ongoing support of local families at Christmas.
