We thought we'd tell you exactly what else we do at The Cutting Room, and I don't mean extra services.

It's the behind the scenes stuff that we think is pretty cool.

You see, it started nearly 2 years ago when we were sourcing a new colour range to use in our salons.

Every colour range we tried was a real disappointment. Either it just wasn't good or there was no creative freedom ie that it was 1 step up from a box colour!!! NO THANKS!

We love mixing cocktails for our clients and creating colours that are tailored for you.

There just wasn't anything so we started creating!

Wind forward 18 months and we are now using a range of hair colours that we have created with some of the best people in the world! Isn't that crazy????

Even better, so are 4 other salons around Australia!

We have also started developing a Home Care line.

It started with a treatment (the "green" one) which people raved about so much that we found ourselves selling and posting them all over the country to clients friends and family!

Then we created our Argan line which is a delicious Gluten Free, Sulfate Free shampoo, conditioner, hair masque and oil that has blown our clients away! So much so that we get testimonials weekly, without encouragement!

Now we have created something so spectacular, that there is nothing like it in the world! It's called Coloured Bleach.

For those that love a flash of pink or purple in the hair, you know how many steps there are involved in the process and that those lovely vibrant colours fade so quickly!

Coloured Bleach is a 1 step process and it's basically permanent!

Well, the hair industry are going crazy for it!

We can't keep enough of it in supply!

We started with 30 tubs. SOLD OUT!

Then 170 tubs! SOLD OUT!

Then 300 tubs! SOLD OUT!

And I'm talking in days!

So now we have 5000 tubs on their way and we are going to be at Hair EXPO 2014 in Sydney!

It is the biggest thing for the hairdressing industry in Australia!

We will be having an official launch there and it will be mental!!!!

It's crazy how far we've come and the waves we are creating.

And to think..... It all started in a little salon called The Cutting Room @ Riverstone....

So on the 14th of August, we have been in Riverstone 7 years. We've seen team members come and go. We've met amazing people. We've laughed so much and we have fallen in love with Riverstone.
It's an amazing little town. It's people are full of such characters. We love Riverstone so much and so we are celebrating with a massive sale that put us on the map!

Riverstone is a town unlike any other. It has an extremely passionate community with quite a few vocal individuals.

Everyone here "wants the best" for Rivo but it's the "what's best" that varies from person to person.

Dust?
Let me guess. When you hear the word dust you think of this?
Or the nasty stuff under your cupboards.
Well we are obsessed with putting dust in our hair!
Why? It creates super light texture and hold but is dry, unlike a wax or gel.
Think of that first day you shampoo and your hair is flippy, floppy AWFUL. You feel flat and you look flat.
We have found that THE best one is Osis Dust It.
How do you use it?
After shampooing, conditioning and blast drying to bone dry, sprinkle as much dust it in your hair as you need to create a dirty, lived in, rock and roll do. 

Texture. Movement. Awesome.
You DO need to do 2 shampoos to get it out but it's totally worth it.

Now the weather is getting chillier and we head from outside to indoor heating, the toll on your skin and hair can be great.
Hats are great in winter.
Beanies are lovely and warm and so are the knitted, floppy, oversized ones from last winter.
We have a new favourite this winter.

Don't forget to kiss and cuddle your hair in winter using a nice thick treatment. Most you can use in the shower instead of a conditioner up to 3 times a week and leave on while you wash and shave. The results are instant and lovely.

Just don't use a reconstructive treatment containing protein as too much protein can contribute to the destruction of your luscious locks.
So grab a sexy hat, reflecting the 40's, match it with a low bun and some long flat boots and you are accessorised in style.

Super hot and super easy! Braids are again, fashionable this spring/summer. It's good news for your hair as it generally means less blowdrying and straightening. And they can have many looks from uber posh to super sleek.

They are also useful when growing out that fringe you thought was such a good idea 10 weeks ago...

Like gardens, your hair should be prepared in spring for summer.

This can include weekly treatments to nourish your hair after being dried out through winter from all the heating!

If you like to go lighter this time of year then it's so important to prepare for this.
Using a good shampoo and conditioner does wonders for dried out, stressed hair.

If you want to be light for Christmas then you should start now because to get your blonde just right, it can take up to 3 visits.
Don't leave it till the last minute and make sure you prepare your hair with kisses and cuddles... Also known as moisturizing or protein treatments.
